The Rollercoaster of Survival
So many of us are deeply familiar with survival mode.
Doing everything we can to simply make it to the end of each day.
Stuck on this rollercoaster of struggle, feeling like life is running away from us.
Wanting things to change, but not quite sure how.
We get it. We've been there too.
Enter Thrive Mode
This message comes from understanding the reality of survival mode deeply, paired with knowing how powerful the promise of thriving can be.
Many of us believe that thriving is a destination, and once we get there, survival mode will become a thing of the past.
And that when thrive mode arrives, it'll be here to stay.
We'll believe nothing can break us now.
As if overcoming this survival mode means we'll never have to struggle again.
Wouldn't that be nice?!?
We've come to understand that this isn't the way life works.
Unfortunately, Life Isn't A Beach!
Life doesn't pause when one struggle ends, giving you time to recover - just like the world continuing on while you are on holiday.
No one knows what's around the corner - loss, heartbreak, illness, a global pandemic!
We need to be kind to ourselves when we find ourselves in survival mode.
And even in the midst of challenges, we can find small ways to thrive, reminding ourselves that life won't always feel like this.
Our Enter Thrive Mode collection has been created as a reminder to hope.
It celebrates the possibility of fully thriving while acknowledging that small, intentional actions keep that hope alive even during difficult times.
While we can't escape life's challenges completely, we can learn to navigate them differently.
Even in our most difficult seasons, there are practical ways to bring moments of thriving into our everyday lives.
These small steps won't necessarily change our circumstances, but they can significantly change how we experience them.
Small Steps Toward Thriving
When survival mode feels overwhelming, sometimes the smallest actions can help shift our mindset toward thriving. Here are some ideas we've found helpful:
- Connect with nature: Take a walk in a green space, even if just for 10 minutes. The combination of movement, fresh air, and natural surroundings can work wonders for your mental state.
- Practice mindfulness: Take a break, breathe deeply, and embrace the calm for a few minutes. This doesn't require special equipment or training – just a pause to reconnect with yourself.
- Treat yourself: Visit your favourite coffee shop for that vanilla latte you love, or pick up a small treat that brings you joy.
- Find quiet entertainment: Take a trip to the cinema during a quiet point in the week, losing yourself in a story without the crowds.
- Create meaningful rituals: Establish a Friday night tradition – whether it's wine and cheese, movie night with popcorn, or simply celebrating the small wins of your week in whatever way speaks to you.
- Focus on you: Sometimes doing your nails, cracking out the face mask you've been saving or reading a book in the bath can be the start of feeling you can manage the next step.

Nourish yourself: Make your favourite meal, whether it’s tasty chicken fajitas, comforting tomato pasta, or another go-to dish. Keep it simple, but focus on the joy of preparing something you love. The process can be meditative, satisfying, and, of course, delicious.
These are some suggestions to get you started which we hope inspire you to find small ways to thrive in your everyday life.
Remember that thriving doesn't have to be grand, dramatic or life-changing – often it's found in these little moments of intentional living.
